A regular meeting of the Planning Commission of the City of Temple City was held in the City Hall, 9664 East Las Tunas Drive, Temple City. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Pursley at 7:30 P.M. 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was led by Chairman Pursley. 3. ROLL CALL: Present: Commissioners: Nunamaker, Harker, Pursley; Absent: Commissioners: Burr, Meek; Also Present: Woollett, Shatford, Lumsdon. 4. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: City Manager, Mr. Woollett, corrected the minutes page 5, paragraph 1, line 2, replacirg "on Halifax and Pal Mal to the 15 foot tangent" w.i'th "to the end of property in the subdivision fronting on Pal Mal''. Commissioner Harker requested the addition of Commissioner Meek *s name on page 5, item 8, line .1.. Commissioner Nunamaker made a motion that the minutes be approved as corrected, seconded by Commissioner Harker, and carried. 5. COMMUNICATIONS: City Manager announced that Mr. Whitnall, the Planning Consultant, will be at the City Hall at 9 :30 A.M. on Thursday, April 6, 1961, and invited the Commissioners to be present. Chairman Pursley recognized Mrs. Karl J. Placek of 10111 East Green Street, Temple City, who spoke concerning: Zone Change Case No. 60 -11 (A -1 -1 to R -1), expressing her belief that discussions should have continued on this case after the meeting of the Commission on February 20, 1961. She said that some of the people had expected to receive further notification, and since none was received, a petition was circulated for presentation to the Commission to get it to continue consideration of this matter. Mrs. Placek also questioned the desirability of the subdivision considered by the Commission for that area, and was advised by, Chairman Pursley andzCommissioner Nunamaker that the subdivider had filed with all legal channels; the subdivision had been studied and shaald be a good subdivision. Chairman Pursley advised Mrs. Placek that the Commission would act immediately on an application for change of zone if filed by herself and /or the other petitioners. Otherwise the matter would be handled under the Master Plan. Chairman Pursley recognized Phillip Polley of 5012 North Rosemead Boulevard, Temple City. Mr. Folley advised the Commission that a very hazardous condition exists at the corner of Pentland and Rosemead Boulevard where Pentland enters Rosemead just north of the railroad underpass, causing heavy traffic congestion. City Manager informed those present that one -half of Pentland is undedicated and unimproved; and that the City cannot spend public funds on private property. He advised Mr. Folley that the City would investigate the situation, and do anything possible to correct it. Chairman Pursley recognized Mr. Donald Secres of 10249 Green Street, Temple City, who questioned the Commission concerning the disposition of a lot split filed by his mother with the County before incorporation of this City, on property located at 5231 Arden. City Manager advised Mr. Secres that he must refile with the City, and that the City would check with the County concerning his previous filing. Commissioner Nunamaker made a motion to adjourn at 8 :08 P.M., seconded by Commissioner Harker and carried Lr 1 rrrn ATTEST..
