AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE 2011 BASE REPAIR PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret ( "Borough ") authorized the preparation of bid
specifications and contract documents and advertisement for receipt of bids for the 2011 Base
Repair Program; and
WHEREAS, the Borough has previously received bids for said project on August 11, 2011; and
WHEREAS, S. Brothers General Contractors, South River, New Jersey submitted the lowest bid
for said work as evidence by the response on file with the Borough's Purchasing Department and
Borough's Consulting Engineer for the Project as follows:

S. Brothers General Contractors $378,122.37
WHEREAS, the Borough's Consulting Engineer, T & M Associates, has reviewed the above
referenced bid proposal and has recommended an award of a contract for the Total Bid w/ all
Alts.; and
WHEREAS, the Borough's Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be
available for the award of a contract for said work.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of
Carteret, County of Middlesex and State of New Jersey as follows:
That the Borough hereby awards the bid for the 2011 Base Repair Program
Project to S. Brothers General Contractors, South River, New Jersey, in the
amount of $378,122.37 for the Total Bid w /all Alts.
2. That the appropriate Borough Officials are hereby authorized and directed to
enter into a contract with S. Brothers General Contractors for the 2011 Base
Repair Program Project in the amount of $378,122.37 and in accordance in all
respects with the request for proposals and bid on the same.
3. That a copy of this Resolution shall be forwarded to the Borough's Purchasing
Department and T & M Associates for distribution to S. Brothers General
Contractors.

NOT TO EXCEED: $378,122.37
According to the terms set forth in the Resolution.
THE BOROUGH does hereby agree to pay the Contractor the sum set forth in the Resolution & Bid.
