MINUTES OF MARCH 12, 2018 MEETING
The meeting came to order at 3:35pm. Present were Gretel Norgeot, Steve Ellis, Barbara Dean and
Conservation Administrator John Jannell.
John Jannell informed us there have been 6 responses from the Putnam Farm lottery. He told us the
Mosquito Control has been working to drain more of the standing water.We talked about when the
water had disappeared in the past and when the garden area had been rota-tilled.The Council decided
the area was usually dry from May to November, and this would be the best time for gardening.The
Council thanked Jannell for all his work on the Putnam Farm project.
There was mention of a ribbon cutting in May.
There was some talk about what it would take to use Goats for the maintenance of power line rights of
ways to keep low growing plants under control.
We also reminded each other to look at the Food Vision information.
Steve Ellis moved, seconded by Barbara Dean,to adjourn the meeting at 4:30pm by a vote of 3-0-0.
