Joint Work Session - Call to Order 5:30 PM
A. Roll Call
Board President Kara Prickett called the meeting to order at 5:30 PM. Upon Roll Call the following School
Board Members and City Council were present: Al Havens, Eric Schnedler, Skylar Limkemann, Chris Olney,
Tim Orris, Kara Prickett, Joe Burns, Jennifer Mooney, Matt McAreavy, Eileen Schmidt, Shaun Kukuzke,
Jennifer Downes. Absent: Mayor Steve Berner. Others present City Administrator Doug Boldt, Clear Creek
Amana Superintendent Dr. Corey Seymour, Clear Creek Amana Associate Superintendent Matt Leeman, City
Clerk Abigail Hora, Board Secretary Lori Robertson and others.
B. Agenda Additions/Agenda Approval
Motion to approve agenda by McAreavy.
Second by Schmidt.
All ayes, agenda approved.
C. Welcome and Introductions
D. Discussion and Update on North Park Road Reconstruction Project
Discussion: City Administrator Doug Boldt reviewed the design with the school board. Construction is
anticipated to begin in March of 2025 if the project proceeds with a roundabout. City Engineer Kevin
Bailey, discussed the benefits of the roundabout on Park Road. Several school board members would like
the City to look at a second roundabout for the entrance by Oak Hill Elementary and review the
staging/access plan for the project. School Board member Eileen Schmidt would like to see if there are
any additional grant opportunities for this project. Overall, the school board would like an estimated cost
of the frontage road by Tiffin Elementary.
E. Scheduling of Next Meeting
City Administrator Doug Boldt and Clear Creek Amana Superintendent Dr. Corey Seymour will schedule
the next meeting.
