REGULAR MEETING
July 8, 2014
The Moab City Council held its Regular Meeting on the above date in the
Council Chambers at the Moab City Center, located at 217 East Center
Street, Moab, Utah.
Mayor David L. Sakrison called the Pre -Council Workshop to order at
6:30 PM. In attendance were Councilmembers Heila Ershadi, Gregg
Stucki, Doug McElhaney and Kyle Bailey. Also in attendance were City
Manager Donna Metzler, City Recorder/Assistant City Manager Rachel
Stenta, City Treasurer Jennie Ross, Police Chief Mike Navarre, and
Planning Director Jeff Reinhart.
Mayor Sakrison called the Regular City Council Meeting to order at 7:00
PM and led the pledge of allegiance. Six (6) members of the audience
and media were present.
Councilmember Ershadi moved to approve the Special Meeting Minutes
of June 5, 2014 and the Regular Meeting Minutes of June 10, 2014.
Councilmember Stucki seconded the motion. The motion carried 4-0
aye.
There were no Citizens to Be Heard.
A Community Development Department Update was not given.
An Engineering Department Update was not given.
Under Planning Department Update, Planning Director Reinhart
reviewed the next Planning Commission Meeting Agenda.
A Police Department Update was not given.
A Public Works Department Update was not given.
Councilmember Bailey moved to approve the Consent Agenda as
follows:
1) Approval of a Special Business Event License for the Moab Pride
Festival and Visibility March on September 27, 2014
2) Approval of a Class IV Special Event Beer License for Sallie
Hodges, d.b.a. Moab Pride Festival to Conduct an Event on
September 27, 2014 in Swanny City Park

d.b.a. Moab Pride Festival to Conduct an Event on September 27,
2014 in Swanny City Park
5) Approval of Local Consent of a Temporary Beer Event Permit for
Moab Pride Festival/Sallie Hodges for an Event on September 27,
2014 in Swanny City Park
Councilmember Ershadi seconded the motion. The motion carried 4-0
aye.
Councilmember Stucki moved to approve a Request by Sara Hatathley for
an Amplified Music Event at Old City Park on July 18, 2014.
Councilmember McElhaney seconded the motion. The motion carried 4-
0 aye.
Councilmember McElhaney moved to approve Proposed Resolution #31-
2014 — A Resolution Approving a Boundary Line Adjustment for Property
Located in the C-4, General Commercial Zone at 1133 Millcreek Drive and
Owned by Al Heaton. Councilmember Bailey seconded the motion. The
motion carried 4-0 aye.
Mayor and Council Reports were not given.
There was no Correspondence to be Read.
An Administrative Report was not given.
A Report on City/County Cooperation was not given.
Councilmember Ershadi moved to pay the bills against the City of Moab
in the amount of $262,361.94. Councilmember Peterson seconded the
motion. The motion carried 4-0 aye by a roll -call -vote.
Mayor Sakrison adjourned the Regular Council Meeting at 7:12 PM.
