Place of Hearing: City Hall, City of Temple City, 9664 E. Las Tunas Drive, Temple City. Date & Time of Hearing: 7 :30 p.m., September 17, 1963. Planning Commission Members Present: Briggs, Erickson, Harker, Johnston, Beckley Area Covered by Hearin_ No. 1: The area covered in hearing No. 1 Is encompassed in red upon the map attached, marked Exhibit "A" and made a part hereof as though set forth in full herein. Summary of Hearing: The Chairman of the Planning Commission, Paul Beckley, opened the meeting and explained the nature of the proceedings. After opening the hearing, at which approximately seventy persons attended, questions and suggestions were made, mostly on the Rosemead Boulevard sector in the northwest corner of the City and within the area shown in blue upon Exhibit "A," above referenced. A11 of the persons who spoke in respect to the said Rosemead Boulevard area were in favor of more apartment and commercial zoning. It was emphasized by many persons present that Temple City can grow only by a sharp increase in the number or size of apartment units.
