A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
DESIGNATING ONE-AND-ONE HALF HOUR PARKING ON BOTH SIDES OF
ATLANTIC AVENUE BETWEEN BEECHWOOD AVENUE AND LOS FLORES
BOULEVARD
WHEREAS, Atlantic Avenue is one of the City's major commercial corridors; and
WHEREAS, there is insufficient street parking to accommodate parking demand
on both sides of Atlantic Avenue between Beechwood Avenue and Los Flores
Boulevard; and
WHEREAS, to address parking concerns limiting parking to 1%2 hours is
appropriate.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Lynwood designates both sides
of Atlantic Avenue (Beechwood Avenue to Los Flores Boulevard) as 1'/2 hour parking,
except for sections of curb at the southwest and southeast corners which may remain
as green curb to accommodate the previous request for green curb from the business
owners.
Section 2. The City Council hereby directs the Public Works Department to
install appropriate markings and notices regarding the parking restrictions approved
herein.
Section 3. This Resolution shall go into effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this Resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 7 day of June, 2011.
