A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AWARDING
A CONTRACT TO SUPERIOR DEMOLITION, INC. AS THE LOWEST RESPONSIBLE
BIDDER, IN THE AMOUNT OF $32,198 FOR THE ANNEX BUILDING DEMOLITION
PROJECT, PROJECT NUMBER 4011.67.905, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood adopted the plans,
specifications and working details for the Civic Center Improvements on November 2,
2010, and Public Works staff advertised the Annex Demolition project on April 21, 2011
with local advertising agency and major circulation newspapers; and
WHEREAS, twenty four contractors received project plans and contract
documents; and
WHEREAS, the bid opening took place in the office of the City Clerk on May 19,
2011. Eight contractors submitted their bids, and are as follows;

8 CST ENVIRONMENTAL $ 147,800.00
WHEREAS, Superior Demolition, Inc. was the apparent lowest responsible
bidder at $32,198; and
WHEREAS, a reference check has revealed that this contractor has the
necessary experience and the appropriate contractor's license for this type of project;
and
WHEREAS, the project budget is adequate to pay for the Annex Building
demolition Project and is founded by 1999 Lease Revenue Bond, 2008 Water Bond,
2003 Lease Revenue Bond and 2010 Lease Revenue Bond.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the contract for the Annex Building Demolition Project, Project
No. 4011.67.905, be awarded to Superior Demolition, Inc. for its lowest bid of $32,198.
Section 2. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the agreement
between the City Council of the City of Lynwood and Superior Demolition, Inc.,
approved as to form by the City Attorney.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this City Council
Resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 7 day of June, 2011.
