AT 3:00 P.M. IN THE WILLIAM F. KOCH, JR. COMMISSION CHAMBERS OF THE TOWN HALL,
100 SEA ROAD, GULF STREAM, FLORIDA.
I. Those Attending:
Gregory Dunham, Town Manager
Rita Taylor, Town Clerk
Edward Allen, Police Chief
Astrid Lopez, Republic Construction Corp
A.J. Iadarola, Jr., Mouw Associates, Inc.
II. Opening Remarks:
The Town Clerk confirmed that RFP #17-100 was
advertised on the Town's Website and in the Palm Beach Post on June 11, 2017
and again on June 14, 2017, after which there were 5 bid packages picked -up
from the Town Hall. She then stated that the Town reserves the right to
reject any or all proposals, to waive any informalities or irregularities
in any proposals received, to re -advertise for proposals, or take any other
such actions that may be deemed to be in the best interest of the Town.
Ms. Taylor advised that the Selection Committee that has been appointed by
the Town Manager will meet on July 18, 2017 at 3:00 P.M. in a public
meeting in the Town Hall to evaluate proposals submitted for recommendation
to the Town Commission as set forth on Page 7 of the RFP. That reconnie-
ndation will then be presented to the Town Commission at a Special Meeting
to be held on Friday, July 21, 2017 at 8:30 A.M. in Town Hall.
III. Bid Opening:
The Town Clerk announced that two bids have been
received and that there will be no more accepted. The first bid received
was from Republic Construction Corp. in the amount of $224,900. The
other bid was from D7ouw Associates, Inc. in the amount of $275,000.
IV. Bid Opening Completed:
The Town Clerk closed the proceedings at 3:15 P.M.
with a reminder that the Selection Committee would meet on July 18, 2017
at 3:00 P.M. in the Town Hall.
