WHEREAS, Pursuant to Mass. General Laws Chapter 40A, Section 5 and Article IX of the
Watertown Zoning Ordinance, the Zoning Ordinance and Map may be amended from time to
time; and
WHEREAS, The Town of Watertown has received the following request to amend the
Watertown Zoning Ordinance and the Watertown Zoning Map;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Town Council of the City Known as the Town of
Watertown that Title XV of the Watertown Code of Ordinances, Land Usage; Chapter 155,
Zoning Code, is hereby amended as follows:
AMEND THE ZONING MAP AS FOLLOWS:
By placing the Religious/School Building Overlay District (R/SOD) on four (4) parcels owned by
the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Boston, St. Patrick's Parish, and one parcel owned by the
Boston Catholic Television Center. The parcels are located between Main and Chestnut
Streets diagonally opposite Town Hall and Saltonstall Park, adjacent to the western end of the
Central Business district of Watertown Square. The parcels are designated as follows:
Parcel ID 20610 Main Street
Parcel ID 20620 25 Chestnut Street
Parcel ID 20540A Lot A Chestnut Street
Parcel ID 205 40B Lot C Chestnut Street
Parcel ID 205 40-0 (Part of Lot C Chestnut Street)
