OOF GULF STREAM, AT THE DIRECTION OF THE COMMISSION, ON FRIDAY, JULY 21,
2017 AT 8:30 A.M., IN THE WILLIAM F. KOCH, JR. COMMISSION CHAMBERS OF
THE TOWN HALL, 100 SEA ROAD, GULF STREAM, FLORIDA.
I. Call to Order.
Vice Mayor Stanley called the meeting to order at 8:30 A.M.
II. Pledge of Allegiance.
The Vice Mayor led the Pledge of Allegiance.
III. Roll Call.

IV. Commission Action.
O A. Bid Award for construction of the Addition to Town Hall
RFP No. 17-100.
Town Manager Gregory Dunham advised that 5 bid packets were
Picked -up and representatives from four of the five attended a non-
mandatory pre bid meeting that was held on June 28. Two bids were
submitted and they were opened at a public meeting that was held at the
Town Hall on July 17, 2017. Those were from Mouw Associates, Inc. and
Republic Construction Corporation, both located in Delray Beach. The
Town Manager reported that the Selection Committee, those members being
Gregory Dunham, Edward Nazzaro, Thomas Smith and Rita Taylor, met on
July 18, 2017 to review the bids that were received and to arrive at a
recommendation. Mouw Associates submitted a bid of $275,000 and Republic
Construction submitted a bid of $224,900.
Mr. Dunham reported that the Committee, after checking the references
and recommendations, believed both to be well qualified and experienced
in this type of construction. He added that the budget for this project
Ois $250,000.
The recommendation from the Selection Committee as reported by Mr.
Dunham was to award the bid to Republic Construction Corp. to construct
the addition to the Gulf Stream Town Hall in the amount of $224,900.
Commissioner White moved to award the bid to Republic Construction in
Othe amount of $224,900 for the construction of the addition to Town Hall
and Commissioner Orthwein seconded the motion with all voting AYE at the
roll call.
