Hi Gregory – we are now in our 4 week since I wrote the attached letter.
Quite frankly, I am somewhat surprised to not have gotten a response from you after such an elongated period. Perhaps
my missive made its way to your “Junk Email” and you never saw it. At this point no matter. I attach it again.
I see the suggestion in attached highly beneficial to all, with the big winners being the residents and the taxpayers f
Gulfstream (which I’m hoping that you respect and care about).
With the above as a backdrop, please let me know if you have any interest in this expedited, inexpensive and highly
workable suggestion. Of course, any other ideas from the Town would be invited.
I await your prompt response to this long ignored inquiry.

Dear Gregory:
I hope this E-Mail finds you well. I write to you with a suggestion. That suggestion
emanates from my need for information. As a result, I have been submitting Records
Requests. I would like to avoid that formal process, which may result in putting our
relationships on a more firm ground. My suggestion is that I, going forward, make
informal requests for information to you, whereupon, the formality will be gone and if
there are questions or time constraints, they will be conveyed by you. Of course, if either
of us becomes unhappy with that situation, we could end it, whereupon we could migrate
back to making the Requests under Chapter 119, or under such other applicable law.
Kindly give me your thoughts regarding the above. I am hopeful that you will consider
my suggestion and “give it a try”. To do so would likely save the taxpayers a ‘bushel and
a peck” full of money.
I now await hearing from you.

The Town of Gulf Stream received your public record request on August 22, 2017. Your request
can be found at the following link:

The Town would like to request clarification on the records you seek before determining whether to
provide you with an estimate for extensive clerical or supervisory assistance as described in Fla. Stat.
§ 119.07(4)(d). We do not understand your request to refer to any particular records and cannot
respond in good faith absent your clarification. This request for clarification is done as a courtesy to
you to ensure the Town is able to accurately and promptly provide you with either an estimate, if
necessary, or production of the public records you seek.
If the Town does not receive clarification from you within 30 days of this letter, we will consider
this request closed.
