AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR AN INVESTIGATION AND
CONSTRUCTION OF SEWER CONNECTIONS; ENGINEERING,
DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF MANHOLE
RECONSTRUCTION/REHABILITAION; AND FLOW METERING
OF SANITARY SYSTEMS; FOR THE BOROUGH OF
CARTERET, COUNTY OF MIDDLESEX, NEW JERSEY,
APPROPRIATING $600,000.00 FROM THE CAPITAL
IMPROVEMENT FI/ND -RESERVE FOR SEWER IMPROVF-~dENTS
OF THE BOROUGH FOR THE COST THEREFOR
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOROUGH COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH
OF CARTERET IN THE COUNTY OF MIDDLESEX, NEW JERSEY,
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The Borough of Carteret, in the County of
Middlesex, New Jersey, hereby authorizes
-Investigation and Construction of Sewer Connections
$200,000
-Engineering, Design, and Construction of
Manhole Reconstruction/Rehabilitation 355,000
-Flow Metering of Sanitary Sewers 45,000
Totals $600,000
together with all purposes necessary, incidental or
appurtenant thereto:
SECTION 2. For said improvements or purposes, there
is hereby appropriated the sum of $600,000 which
amounts are made available from the Capital
Improvement Fund- Reserve for Sewer Improvements.
SECTION 3. The Capital Budget of the Borough
hereby amended to conform with the provisions

SECTION 4. The purposes described in Section 1
herein are not current expenses. These are all
Improvements that the Borough may lawfully undertake
as General Improvements, and no part of the costs
thereof has been or shall be specially assessed on
property specially benefited thereby.
SECTION 5. This Ordinance shall take effect as
provided by Law.
