HomeMy Public PortalAboutAlum Treatment (October 2019) Invitation for Bid Town of Brewster 3 INVITATION FOR BIDS TOWN OF BREWSTER, MASSACHUSETTS Sealed bids for furnishing the following services will be received at BREWSTER TOWN OFFICES, TOWN ADMINISTRATOR’S OFFICE, 2198 MAIN STREET, BREWSTER, MA 02631, until 12:00 P.M. on October 23, 2019, at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read. The procurement services consist of an aluminum application to inactivate phosphorus. The location of the alum application is Upper Mill Pond, Town of Brewster. Access to the pond will be via the Brewster Conservation Land boat ramp off Run Hill Road, Brewster, MA. The Contractor shall be responsible for any and all damage to the pond and bank until all have been inspected by the Town and has been accepted in writing. Application shall be arranged five days in advance with Natural Resource Director. Contract Documents are available for pickup at Brewster Town Hall, Town Administrator’s Office, 2198 Main Street, Brewster, MA between 8:30 am – 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday or by email request to dkalinick@brewster-ma.gov. Documents will be available on Friday October 4, 2019. All bids for this project are subject to applicable public bidding laws of Massachusetts, including Uniform Procurement Act, M.G.L. c. 30B (Chapter 30B). Selection of the procurement contractor will be based upon bidder qualifications, including evidence of at least five satisfactory and timely past performance in similar sized alum projects, five references from alum projects in New England, and bid price. It is the Town’s intent to award the contract to the bidder deemed by the awarding authority to be the lowest responsible and responsive bidder. The Town reserves the right to waive any informality, to accept or reject, in whole or in part any or all bids, or take whatever other action may be deemed to be in the best interest of the Town.
