HomeMy Public PortalAbout2011.153 (06-21-11) RESOLUTION NO. 2011.153 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AMENDING THE CITY'S ADOPTED FISCAL YEAR 2011-2012 OPERATING BUDGET WITH THE FOLLOWING BUDGET ADJUSTMENTS WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood (the "City Council") adopted the City of Lynwood's Fiscal Year 2011-2012 Operating Budget on June 7, 2011; and WHEREAS, in October of 2010, per Resolution No. 2010.223, the City was awarded and accepted a grant in the amount of $59,740 from the South Coast Air Quality Management District (AQMD) Tree Partnership Program; and WHEREAS, per Resolution No. 2010.223, the grant program requires a City match in which the City Council approved a$25,000 transfer in from the unappropriated Park Maintenance Grant Fund; and WHEREAS, staff has just received clearance from the grantee agency to implement and administer program and therefore, must appropriate funds and make amendments to the FY 2011-12 Adopted Budget. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AND DETERMINE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The City Council of the City of Lynwood will amend the FY 2011-12 Adopted budget and appropriate the following funds to authorize staff to implement and administer the new AQMD Tree Partnership Planting Program: AQMD Tree Partnership Planting Fund (New Revenue/Expenditure Fund) Revenues FY 12 Adopted FY 12 Adjusted Budget Budget AQMD Grant Revenue $0 $59,740 Park Maintenance Grant Fund 0 25,000 (#3541) Transfer In Totals: $0 $84,740 Expenditures FY 12 Adopted FY 12 Adjusted Budget Budget Salaries and Benefits $0 $12,081 Temporary/Part-Time (Including 0 27,440 Benefits) I Advertising & Printing 0 200 ; Repairs/Main Bldg & Equip 0 2,000 , Office Supplies � 0 � 18,065 i i Operating Supplies 0 19,600 � � Machinery & Equipment 0 5,354 Totals: $0 $84,740 Section 2. By appropriating funds for the new AQMD Tree Partnership Planting Program, the City Council will authorize staff to hire 10 Temporary/Seasonal student youth workers to work during the summer, not to exceed 2,800 hours worked and not to exceed $27,440 total costs including benefits. Section 3. This Resolution shall go into effect immediately upon its adoption. Section 4. This City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this Resolution.
