ENDORSING FY 2011 NJDOT STATE AID
GRANT APPLICATION FOR THE ROMANOWSKI
STREET ROAD ID4PROVEMENTS PROJECT
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Carteret, County of Middlesex,
New Jersey are desirous of obtaining discretionary finding from the NJDOT Trust Fund
Authority Act, Fiscal Year 2011 Municipal Aid Program for the Romanowski Street
Road Improvements Project; and
WHEREAS, tine Governing Body has authorized the Borough Engineer, T &M
Associates, to prepare a Discretionary Aid Grant Application for submittal for funding
cinder the FY 2011 NJDOT Grant Program; and
WHEREAS, fire Borough Engineer has prepared said discretionary aid application for
the rehabilitation of Romanowski Street from Lowell Street to the cul -de -sac; and
WHEREAS, the Governing Body has reviewed the above described Discretionary Aid
Application and has approved of the same, ]raving determined that the referenced project
includes improvements that are significant for resurfacing of the roadway.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Mayor and Council of the Borough
of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey that the Borough of Carteret
hereby endorses the submission of the above described FY 2011 NJDOT Discretionary
Aid Grant Application to the New Jersey Department of Transportation and that the
Mayor is hereby authorized to execute said application.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a certified copy of this Resolution along with three
signed copies of the application be forwarded to the Borough Engineer for submission to
the District Local Aid Office within the New Jersey Department of Transportation.
