AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL, ACCEPTANCE,
AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM THE FINISH LINE YOUTH FOUNDATION
WHEREAS, the Finish Line Youth Foundation has grant funding available; and
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond Parks & Recreation Department desires to submit a grant
application to obtain funds for the "Healthy Youth Participating in Exercise and
Recreation (H.Y.P.E.R)" after school program commencing in the fall of 2005; and
WHEREAS, no local match is required for this grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana,
as follows:
1. The City of Richmond Parks & Recreation Department is hereby authorized to submit a grant
application to the Finish Line Youth Foundation.
2. The City of Richmond Parks & Recreation Department is authorized to accept said grant
funding in an amount up to Three Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($3,500.00).
3. Said funds, if awarded to the City of Richmond Parks & Recreation Department, shall be
appropriated for the "Healthy Youth Participating in Exercise and Recreation (H.Y.P.E.R)" after
school program commencing in the fall of 2005.
Passed and adopted this 16th_ day of Mav 2005, by the Common Council of the City of
Richmond, Indiana.
