AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL,
ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM THE
INDIANA DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE
WHEREAS, The Indiana Department of Commerce has grant funding available through its
Industrial Development Grant Fund; and
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond desires to submit a grant application to obtain funds that
will be used for the completion of a new roadway off of Industries Road; and
WHEREAS, the remaining project costs will be funded through the Consolidated EDIT fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, as follows:
1. The City of Richmond is hereby authorized to submit a grant application to the
Indiana Department of Commerce.
2. The City of Richmond is authorized to accept said grant funding in an amount up to
One Hundred Six Thousand Two Hundred Fifty Dollars ($ 106,250.00).
3. Said funds, if awarded to the City of Richmond shall be used to construct a new
roadway off of Industries Road.
Passed and adopted this _20th_ day of January 2004, by the Common Council of the City
of Richmond, Indiana.
