AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL,
ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM THE
WHITEWATER VALLEY REMC COMMUNITY TRUST
WHEREAS, The Whitewater Valley REMC Community Trust has grant funding available;
and
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond Parks & Recreation Department desires to submit a grant
application to obtain funds that will be used by the Widowed Persons Service
operated by the Richmond Parks and Recreation Department; and
WHEREAS, no local match is required for this grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, as follows:
1. The City of Richmond Parks & Recreation Department is hereby authorized to submit
a grant application to the Whitewater Valley REMC Community Trust.
2. The City of Richmond Parks & Recreation Department is authorized to accept said
grant funding in an amount up to Three Thousand Two Hundred Sixty-eight Dollars and Fifty-
one Cents ($3,268.51).
4. Said funds, if awarded to the City of Richmond Parks & Recreation Department, shall
be appropriated to fund Programs and services provided by the Widowed Persons Service.
Passed and adopted this _15th_ day of March 2004, by the Common Council of the City
of Richmond, Indiana.
