AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL,
ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM THE
INDIANA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
WHEREAS, The Indiana Department of Transportation has grant funding available through
its FA-3 Grant Program; and
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond wishes to submit a grant application to obtain funds that
will be used to construct improvements on or near Salisbury Road; and
WHEREAS, a local match of One Hundred Twelve Thousand Dollars ($112,000.00) is
required.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, as follows:
1. The City of Richmond is hereby authorized to submit a grant application to the
Indiana Department of Transportation.
2. The City of Richmond is authorized to accept said grant funding in an amount up to
Four Hundred Forty-eight Thousand Eight Hundred Dollars ($448,800.00).
3. The City of Richmond is hereby authorized to provide local funds in an amount up to
One Hundred Twelve Thousand Dollars ($112,000.00) as matching funds for said grant.
4. Said funds, if awarded to the City of Richmond, shall be appropriated to construct a
improvements on or near Salisbury Road.
Passed and adopted this 7th day of June 2004, by the Common Council of the City
of Richmond, Indiana.
