A SPECIAL ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF
RICHMOND TO RECEIVE A DONATION
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond, Indiana, has the option of accepting or rejecting
donations for a specific purpose; and
WHEREAS, the acceptance of a donation for a specific purpose constitutes the
appropriation of such property for the intended purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, that the following shall be accepted and gratefully acknowledged by the citizens of
Richmond:
The donation of the sum of Three Thousand Two Hundred Dollars ($3,200.00)
from Wellings Steakhouse and other local bar owners to the Richmond Police
Department. Such money shall be used to purchase four (4) tasers with holsters.
Passed and adopted this _7th day of _June 2004, by the Common Council of the City
of Richmond, Indiana.
