ADJOURNMENT � ; � . . , i � �7exr .a+. . . . � � REGULAR MEETING OF THE COMMUNITY AFFAIRS COMMISSION February 17, 1988 The Community Affairs Commission met in a regular'' session on February 17,1987 at the Council Chambers of the Citp Hall, 11330 - Bullis Road, Lynwood California. (The agenda was duly posted on July 10, 1987 as prescribed by the Brown Act) ' Commissioner Litsinger called the meeting to order-at 5:00 p.m. It was moved, seconded,and carried to approve the minutes of January 20, 1988. � Present Absent Yolanda Bays none . Bette Espeseth Ann Fields David Litsinger Barbar Newton Lucille Walker Marion Madden Also present were Don Fraser, Carol de Jesus and Rosemary valdovinos. BUSINESS ITEMS A. Review of the Graffiti Program: Mr. Don Fraser informed the commission members that the in-house graffiti program will begin in the next two weeks. People are presently being trained and two people will work an staggered shifts so they will be available during the weekend. Due to some technical difficulty with the television, the "Say No to Graffiti" video was not shown to the members. B. PLANS FOR THE UNVEILING"OF THE AISTORY OF LYNWOOD"PROGRAM There was no firm date set for the preview of the History of Lynwood video but the video consultants,Hintz & Balvin will do a rough cut of the video by the end of the week. Hopefully, two members of the Council and the representatives from the Community •ACCess Advisory Board will be able to preview the video by Monday, •rM. �'k`�. • • February 22, 1988. Mr. Fraser advised the board members to start planning for the unveiling of the History of Lynwood program. A target date was tentatively set for March and invitations will be sent out to varied organizations. The reception will be held at Bateman Hall. The board members volunteered to help out with the decorations and set up for the upcoming event. Mr. Fraser suggested the display of different historical materials at the lobby. The City will try to get a large display case where different information can be exhibited. Commissioner Fields suggested the setting up of a working committee which will be responsible for figuring what kind of materials should go to the lobby display and for determining how long the particular selected item should stay in exhibit. Mr. Eraser indicated that the next committee meeting which will be held on March 16 be held as a"working committee meeting".
