A SPECIAL ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING MAP FOR A CERTAIN
PARCEL FROM A -I TO C-2
Whereas, the Zoning Map designates certain property located on Highland Road, and
legally described as follows, to wit:
Being a part of the Southwest Quarter of Section 16,
Township 14 North, Range 1 West, in Wayne Township,
Wayne County, Indiana, and being more particularly
described as follows:
Beginning at a G.P. S. monument found at the southeast
corner of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 16, and
running thence west, along the south line of said Southwest
Quarter, 1051.72 feet to a point at the southeast corner of a
tract of land owned by the Indiana American Water
Company, as recorded in Deed Record Book 429, Page 36 in
the Office of the Wayne County Recorder, Wayne County,
Indiana, witness a railroad spike found .16 feet north east line
of said Water Company tract, 225.00 feet to an iron rod set at
the northeast corner of said Water Company tract; thence
west, parallel to the south line of said Southwest Quarter,
375.00 feet to a point; thence east, parallel to said south line,
1089.51 feet to an iron rod set on the east line of said
Southwest Quarter, thence south 00 degrees, 05 minutes and
30 seconds west, along said east line, 600.00 feet to the place
of beginning, containing an area of 14. 818 acres.
as an A-1 Agricultural District; and
Whereas, it is desirable to change the above described real estate's zoning designation to
C-2 Commercial District.
NOW THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana,
that the above described property is changed to C-2 Commercial District.
Passed and Adopted this 3rd day of February 2003, by the Common
Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana.
