AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL,
ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM
THE INDIANA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FA-3 GRANT PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, The Indiana Department of Transportation has grant funding available through
its FA-3 Grant Program; and
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond desires to submit a grant application to assist with the
costs associated with widening Salisbury Road from Northwest "L" Street to
eight hundred (800) feet north of Industries Road; and
WHEREAS, a local match of twenty percent in the sum of One Hundred Twenty Thousand
Dollars ($120,000.00) is required for this grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, as follows:
1. The City of Richmond is hereby authorized to submit a grant application to the
Indiana Department of Transportation to assist with the costs associated with expanding
Salisbury Road.
2. The City of Richmond is authorized to accept said grant funding in an amount up to
Four Hundred Eighty Thousand Dollars ($480,000.00).
3. Said funds, if awarded to the City of Richmond , shall be appropriated to assist with
the costs associated with improving Salisbury Road.

of Richmond, Indiana.
