A SPECIAL ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING MAP FOR CERTAIN
CONTIGUOUS PARCELS
Whereas, the Zoning Map designates a certain property commonly known as 121 Sycamore
Lane, which is more particularly described as follows, to wit:
PT SE SEC 35-14-1 0.745A
as an R-1 Residential District; and
Whereas, the Zoning Map designates a certain property commonly known as 117 Sycamore
Drive, which is more particularly described as follows, to wit:
PT SE SEC 35-14-1 0.86A & 0.15A 45 X 150 FT
as an R-1 Residential District; and
Whereas, the Zoning Map designates a certain 11.86 parcel owned by the Stanley W. Hayes
Research Foundation, Inc. located to the rear of properties along U.S. 40 East, as
an R-2 Residential District, of which a 2.392 parcel is subject to this ordinance,
and which is more particularly described as follows, to wit:
PT SE SEC 35-14-1 which is comprised of 11.86 acres. The
piece to be rezoned starts at the South West Corner of the
above described property and goes North approximately 250
feet along the West line, then East approximately 400 feet,
then South to the South property line, and then West to the
beginning point creating a rectangular parcel.
Whereas, attached hereto as "Exhibit A" is a plat showing the three affected parcels; and
Whereas, it is desirable to change the zoning designation for all three of the above described
parcels to C-4 Commercial District.
NOW THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana,
that the above described property is changed to C-4 Commercial District.
Passed and Adopted this 7th day of April 2003, by the Common
Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana.
