A GENERAL ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 93.08 OF THE CITY OF
RICHMOND CODE REGARDING OPEN BURNING OF REFUSE
WHEREAS, Chapter 93 of Richmond Code regulates the disposal of garbage; and
WHEREAS, Chapter 93 includes provisions governing burning of refuse; and
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana
that Chapter 93 of the City of Richmond Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
1. 93.08 "DISPOSAL OF GARBAGE AND RUBBISH" — No person shall
dispose of refuse by open burning, or cause, suffer, allow or permit
open burning of refuse, unless such person has acquired a Service
Agreement from the State Fire Marshall or has received written
approval from the Richmond Fire Department prior to disposing of
refuse by open burning.
Passed and adopted this —5fh day of _May 2003, by the Common
Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana.
