AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL,
ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM
THE FEDERAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY (FEMA), EMERGENCY
FOOD AND SHELTER NATIONAL BOARD PROGRAM
WHEREAS, The Federal Emergency Management Agency has grant funding available through
its Emergency Food and Shelter National Board Program; and
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond desires to submit a grant application to the Emergency
Management Agency; and
WHEREAS, if the City of Richmond receives the grant funds, it will donate such funds to the
Hope House Addiction Recovery Center.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, as follows:
1. The City of Richmond is hereby authorized to submit a grant application to the Federal
Emergency Management Agency.
2. The City of Richmond is authorized to accept said grant funding in an amount up to
Three Thousand Dollars ($3,000.00).
3. Said funds, if awarded to the City of Richmond, shall be transferred to the Hope House
Addiction Recovery Center.
Passed and adopted this _7th day of _April 2003, by the Common Council of the City of
Richmond, Indiana.
