AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL,
ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM THE
WALLACE CRIPPLED CHILDREN'S FOUNDATION
WHEREAS, The Wallace Crippled Children's Foundation has grant funding available; and
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond Parks & Recreation Department desires to submit a grant
application to obtain funds that will be used to replace the falling surface at the
"Superpark" located at Middlefork Reservoir; and
WHEREAS, no local match is required for this grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, as follows:
1. The City of Richmond Parks & Recreation Department is hereby authorized to submit
a grant application to the Wallace Crippled Children's Foundation.
2. The City of Richmond Parks & Recreation Department is authorized to accept said
grant funding in an amount up to Twenty-five Thousand Dollars ($25,000.00).
4. Said funds, if awarded to the City of Richmond Parks & Recreation Department, shall
be appropriated to replace the falling surface of the "Superpark" located at Middlefork Reservoir.
Passed and adopted this 5th day of May2003, by the Common Council of the City
of Richmond, Indiana.
