Cowart, Gwynn, Koch and Pope.
Mayor Dodson called the meeting to order.
The minutes of the meetin; held March 14, 1964 were read approved
and adopted. The minutes of the meeting of the Board of Equalization
held March 19, 1964 were read approved and adopted. The Financial
and Water report for March 1964 was read and approved. All
expenditures in this report were approved.
A letter from Mr. James Houlahan was read. This letter requested
that consideration be given to resurfacing Golfview Drive from
Polo Drive to the Intracoastal. The Cosmnis;:ion instructed the
Town Clerk to advise Mr. Houlahan that it would be considered
at budget time.
A letter from the Palm Beach County Engineer was reed. This
letter advised that the State of fla. had assumed control over
issuing permits for seawalls, groines etc and the County no
longer had jurisdiction over these matters.
A letter from the Town of Ocean Ridge was read. This letter
thanked our police department for the assistance given during
the recent tragedy that occurred at the Boynton Inlet.
Mr. Gwynn reported that he had met with Boynton Beach Officials
.nd a proposal for a new fire contract would be ready at
the next meeting.
The Police reports for March were read and approved.
Mr. Koch requested that consideration be given to increasing
the minimum size of residences to be constructed in the Town,
stating that the present minimum of 1200 sq. ft. is not in
keeping with existing homes.
Mr. Pope discussed the zoning code and pointed out many contra-
dictions, errors and inequities which he thought should be corrected.
Mayor Dodson asked Mr. Pope if he would outline these points in
writing. Mayor Dodson appointed a committee of Mr. LaPorte, Mr.
Hoyzle and Mr. Koch to review these points and the zoning code
and report back to the Commission their findings & recommendations.

MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE TOWN COMMIS
SITTING AS A BOARD OF EQUALIZERS ON:
MARCH 19 and 20, 1964
The Town Commissioners of Gulf Stream, Florida, met
at the Town Hall in Gulf Stream, Florida, at 10:00 A.M.
on March 19 and 20, 1964, to hear and consider any com-
plaints of the tax payers and to receive and equalize
values of real estate and improved property on the Townts
tax assessment rolls as of January 1, 1964.
A motion was made to recess the meeting of the Town
Commissioners sitting as a Board of Equalizers until 10:00
A.M. on August 12, 1964. The motion was seconded and
was then passed unanimously.
The Commissioners agreed to reconvene at Gulf Stream
Town Hall at 10:00 A.M. on August 12, 1964.
