Orleans Wetland Regulations Working Group '19 JAN 25 i,?gFM
Tonset Meeting Room, January 24t", 2019
Present: Bob Rothberg, Walter North, John Jannell (agent). Absent: none
Public Present: Eugene Curry
John Jannell, serving as ex officio, called the meeting to Order at 9:00 AM
John Jannell presented his draft of a final reporUmemo to the Conservation Commission. Mr
Jannell detailed the specifics of the memo and the two options the working group had decided to
advance to the Conservation Commission. Mr. North stated that no on option needs to be
recommended to the Commission over the other at this time. Mr. Rothberg agreed and stated they
should just make sure both options are well defined and would work to clear up the ACEC
regulations.
Mr. North offered suggested edits to the cover memo and Mr. Jannell agreed to incorporate them
into a final draft. Mr. Rothberg suggested compiling Options A and B on to one set of redline
regulations since the differences are small. Mr. Jannell agreed to do this before the final draft was
presented.
Mr. Jannell noted ACEC map review is not part of the Working Group charge but presented two
maps to help understand the two options being advanced. The maps were of the two areas that
represent the stratified ACEC the best, Sipsons Island and Mayflower Point.
The Working Group reviewed its chare one last time to make sure all of the tasks had been
completed. The Working Group discussed the need to meet one more time and it was decided that
no other meetings were necessary at this time. The Working Group discussed disbanding but
decided to do that after the presentation to Cons Com. Both Mr. Rothberg and Mr. North directed
Mr. Jannell to finalize the changes and circulated them to both members for final signature. Once
reviewed and signed Mr. Jannell agreed to share the final report with the Cons Com for a future
agenda.
A motion was made to adjourn by Mr. Rothberg and seconded by Mr. North. Meeting Adjourned at
10:28 AM.
