A RESOLUTION SETTING THE DATE OF NOVEMBER 7, 2023, FOR A PUBLIC
HEARING TO AMEND THE TIFFIN ZONING ORDINANCE, SECTION 5, FENCE AND
HEDGE REGULATIONS
Whereas, the City recognizes the need to amend Section 5.05(a) of the zoning
ordinance that addresses fence and hedge regulations in reference to Special Fences,
Swimming Pools; and,
Whereas, it is necessary to hold a public hearing on such potential amendment,
Now, therefore be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa to set the
date of November 7, 2023, for a public hearing to amend section 5 of the Tiffin Zoning
Ordinance, Fence and Hedge Regulations.
On the 24th day of October, 2023, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin,
Iowa, Councilperson Havens introduced RESOLUTION NO. 2023-072, A
RESOLUTION SETTING THE DATE OF NOVEMBER 7, 2023, FOR A PUBLIC
HEARING TO AMEND THE TIFFIN ZONING ORDINANCE, SECTION 5, FENCE AND
HEDGE REGULATIONS and made a motion for approval. Motion seconded by
Councilperson Orris.
Ayes: Havens, Orris, Olney, Schnedler, Limkemann.
Nays: None.
Absent: None.
Whereupon five Council members were present and voted approval and Mayor Berner
declared that the RESOLUTION NO. 2023-072, A RESOLUTION SETTING THE DATE
OF NOVEMBER 7, 2023, FOR A PUBLIC HEARING TO AMEND THE TIFFIN
ZONING ORDINANCE, SECTION 5, FENCE AND HEDGE REGULATIONS to be
adopted and signified his approval of the same by affixing his signature thereto.
Passed by the City Council on the 24th day of October, 2023.
