The meeting was called to order by Mayor Dodson The minutes of the meeting held December 8, 1962 were read approved and adopted. The Financial Report for December 1962 was read and approved. All expenditures recorded in this report we�,e apphoved. A letter from Mr. Mareno owner of the County Sanitation Co. was read. This letter outlined the number of new homes built in the Town since the original collection contract was signed in 1960. This increase was about 20% over the number of homes in 1960 and therefore he requested a $100.00 increase per month in the collection charge. The Commission agreed that the request was fair but they requested that the expiration date o_° the contract be extended from May 31, 1965 to December 31, 1966 with no further in;reases being asked. Mr. Mareno agreed to this. ( The Commission voted unanimously toa $100.00 increase effective February 1, 1963 upon submission of a written contract to this effect. A letter from Col. C. P. Young complaining about the condition of the grounds at the Colhoun residence and also about the power failure on Christmas Eve, A letter from Col. Youngs attorney, which wac tabled at the last meeting was discussed again. It was reported that Mr. Henry Pope had voiced oral objections to the Town permitting Mr. Young to subdivide his tract of land on No. County Road into two 80' lots., A copy of the deed restrictions on the property also show&d that any division of this tract would be a violation of the deed restrictions. This matter was then turned over Ida Mr. Lilienthal for further discussion with Col. Youngs Attorney. The Police reports were read and approved. The Commission authorized Mr. Lilienthal to prepare deeds for Mr. Pope to sign deeding the various coves he now owns over to the Town. The Commission authorized the purchase of a reverse cycle air conditioner from Henderson and Holloway, Inc. at a price of $235.00 installed. This being the lowest price of the four submitted. January Commission Meeting cont. Page 2. The Commission authorized the purchase of a quarter page ad in the Gulf Stream Polo Club program at a cost of $100.00. The Commission voted unanimously not to purchase resuscitators for the police cars. It was felt that the Town had adequate j protection from the two ambulance services in Delray Beach. Mr. Hart reported that he had been in communication with Mr. Allan Austin regarding the co -op to be built south of the Westminster. Mr. Austin said that he would not start construction until April 1, 1963 providing his contractor could guarantee that the two story building would be completed by October 1, 1963.
