" William. S. LaPorte
Also attending;: Mss. Kathleen Kirton Messrs. Henry Lilienthal,

The meeting was called to order by Mayor Dodson.
The minutes of the meeting held January 12, 1963 and of the
special meetin; held February 2, 1963 were read approved
and adopted. The financial and water report for January,
1963 was read and approved. All expenditures recorded
in this report were approved. There was a general discussion
of the fact that the master meter registered less water used
then the total of the individual meters. Mr. Hart also pointed
out the large reduction in usage in January, 1963 as compared
with January 1962 and all other months in between. 11r. Hart
stated that the Club would check into both these matters for
an explaination.
\ Mr. Hart requested that the Commission allow some relief for
J a water charge of 323,000 gallons of water used in September
1962. After a general discussion of this matter it was the
feeling of the rest of the Commission that since Mr. Harts
meter was found to be working properly it would not be a
good policy to allow adjustments without known proof that the
water had not been used.
Mr. Gwynn stated a request from Mrs. Oliver had been made to
have a complete analysis of the water supply be made to
determine if any harmful elements were present in the water.
Mayor Dodson suggested that the County Health Dept. be asked
to do this. Mr. Hart stated that if the Club had any analysis
they could be studied by the Commission.
It was moved and seconded that a quit -claim deed from Waterway
Realty Corp. deeding certain coves to the Town be accepted.
Motion passed unanimously.
It was reported that a check from Fla. Power and Light Co. in
the amount of $2,717.12 was received as the annual payment on
the franchaise representing 6% of revenue collected by them
in the Town for 1962.
A report on the streets in the Town as prepared by Mr. Mark
Fleming was presented to the Commission. This report outlined

all the streets that are in need of repair with estimated costs of
the work. It was moved and seconded that the Town secure bids from
at least two contractors for this work, permitting them to set the
time for the work to be done. Motion passed unanimously.
The Commission authorized payment of $100.00 to Mr. Fleming for
his services and expressed their appreciation to him for the fine
job he had done.
The Police reports for January 1963 were read and approved.
A list of names of registered voters to be removed from the Town
registation rolls was presented to the Commission. After a study
of this list the Commission ordered their removal and that said
list be posted on the bulletin board of the Town Hall.
The Mayor's Proclamation, calling for the Town Election to be
held March 5, 1963 was read to the Commissioners. This
proclamation is attached hereto and becomes a part of these minutes.
Mr. Hart gave a report on the progress made by an unofficial
committee of Mr. Hmile, Mx. D. A. Wallace, and Mr. Hart to improve
& beautify the area in and around the Clubs maintenance sheds and
Suptst quarters. He reported that the gas pumps and other
equipment in front of the sheds were going to be moved to the
rear of the buildings, a hedge of 125 plants would be located in
front of this area so as to provide a 61 hedge within a year or
two, paint all the buildings and roof of the sheds and install new
roofs on the two living quarters. Estimated cost of this work
approximately 12,000.00 which will be paid by the Clu
