AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL,
ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM THE
INDIANA DEVELOPMENT FINANCE AUTHORITY
WHEREAS, The Indiana Development Finance Authority has grant funding available through
its Petroleum Remediation Grant Incentive Fund; and
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond desires to submit a grant application to obtain funds that
will be used to remediate a contaminate "plume" in the Starr-Gennett area; and
WHEREAS, no local match is required for this grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, as follows:
1. The City of Richmond is hereby authorized to submit a grant application to the Indiana
Development Finance Authority.
2. The City of Richmond is authorized to accept said grant funding in an amount up to
Two Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($250,000.00).
3. Said funds, if awarded to the City of Richmond shall be appropriated to remediate a
contaminated "plume" in the Starr-Gennett area.
Passed and adopted this _6h day of _October 2003, by the Common Council of the City
of Richmond, Indiana.
