AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL,
ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM THE
PARTNERSHIP FOR A DRUG FREE WAYNE COUNTY
WHEREAS, The Partnership for a Drug Free Wayne County has grant funding available; and
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond Police Department desires to submit a grant application to
obtain funds that will be used for training, certification, medical insurance, and
equipment for its K-9 unit; and
WHEREAS, no local match is required.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, as follows:
1. The City of Richmond Police Department is hereby authorized to submit a grant
application to the Partnership for a Drug Free Wayne County.
2. The City of Richmond Police Department is authorized to accept said grant funding in
an amount up to Seven Thousand One Hundred Dollars ($7,100.00).
3. Said funds, if awarded to the City of Richmond Police Department, shall be
appropriated for use by its K-9 unit.
Passed and adopted this _15th day of _December 2003, by the Common Council of the City
of Richmond, Indiana.
