I don't really mind the cedar I just thought it would improve the yard and the oaks near it, but it is fine right where it is. I was out there this weekend and noticed that I have a sick tree in the side yard and have attached another tree permit. I doubt that removing this one will be a problem. I have trimmed it a couple times in the past in an attempt to revive it but most of its upper parts are dead and I noticed the bark on the main truck looks sick too. If you are in front of the house it is to the far right side near the property line in the bed next to the parking area. It is across from the platform that holds my AC condensers. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks, Brad Baugh From: Dianne Otto [mailto:Dotto©citvoftybee.org] Sent: Friday, May 04, 2012 3:26 PM To: 'Brad Baugh' Subject: FW: tree removal permit Dear Brad, The tree removal application for 1702 Chatham Avenue was returned to me today by Public Works. It has been brought to my attention that the tree straddles a property line. The adjoining property owner will need to consent in writing to the removal of the tree prior to permitting. The red cedar was measured at 26- inches in diameter. The tree does require mitigation because it is a significant species. There are 3 options for meeting that requirement. A combination of these methods is allowed. 1. Pay $50 per inch (26 x $50 = $1,300 + $50 permit fee = $1,350) 2. Pay $50 permit fee and replant inch - for -inch trees from the significant species list. The replacement trees must be as least 2- inches in diameter and remain alive for at least 2 years. 3. Pay $50 permit fee and mitigate with an existing significant species tree or trees that total 26- inches in diameter or more. The file will be documented with the locations and species of these trees. They would be "protected" and never eligible for removal. I am available to answer any questions. Please let me know how you would like to proceed. Dianne K.
