CREATING HANDICAPPED PARKING SPACE FOR
96 HEALD STREET
WHEREAS, Christina Seguine of 98 Heald Street, has requested a Handicapped Parking Space;
and
WHEREAS, the Individual have met the requirements of the Traffic Safety Bureau for said
parking space and is aware of the $250.00 fee; and
WHEREAS, the Borough Engineer has inspected said location and has no objection to the
approval of said Handicapped Parking Space; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT AND IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Carteret that the following Handicapped Parking Space shall be designated:

and certified as a true copy of the original
on November 11' 2011.

Dear Ms. Barney:

As requested, we have reviewed the applicant's request for the designation of an on- street
handicapped parking space to be located on Heald Street in front of the property. Based
on our site visit the property in question contains substantial physical restrictions. As a
result of these restrictions the property meets the requirements for the designation of a
handicapped parking space, and furthermore, as required by NJSA Title 39:4- 197.5, the
subject application indicates the applicant possesses a valid disabled person identification
card.
Therefore we have no objection to the Borough granting the applicant's request for a
designated handicapped parking space on Heald Street, subject to the approval of the
Borough's Traffic Safety Officer. Please note if approved a $250.00 fee will be required
from the applicant before the space is provided. This fee will cover the review costs, cost
of the signs and pavement striping.
