AMENDING & SUPPLEMENTING CHAPTER 109,
ENTITLED "UNIFORM CONSTRUCTION CODES"
OF THE CODE OF THE BOROUGH OF CARTERET
BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Carteret (the
"Borough ") as follows:
Section 1. Chapter 109, entitled, Uniform Construction Codes ", of the Code of the
Borough of Carteret, §109.5, entitled "Fees, is amended and supplemented to modify the
following fee amounts as setforth herein, with the remaining charges or fees to remain
unchanged:
Delete the followin
Description
Fee
Flat fees.
Demolition, residential less than 5,000 square feet $500.00
Demolition, struchue all use groups $750.00 minimum or
20/$1,000
Amended to read as follows:
Description Fee
Flat fees
Demolition, residential less than 5,000 square feet $500.00
a) Any I or 2 family unit destroyed by natural or fire
related circumstances fee will be exempt.
All DCA fees will be applicable
Demolition, structure all use groups - $1,500 minimum or
$1 /sq. ft. of building area
being demolished
6ccnOH a. All Urounances and/or provisions thereof inconsistent with the provision of
this Ordinance shall be and are hereby repealed as to the extent of any such
inconsistencies.
Section 3. If any section, subsection, part, clause or phrase of this Ordinance shall be
declared invalid by judgment of any Court of competent jurisdiction, the section,
subsection, part, clause or phrase shall be deemed to be sever able from the remainder of
this Ordinance.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect upon passage and publication according to
applicable law.
