A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COTJNCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE, FLORIDA, REVISING THE
SERVICE FEE FOR SOLID WASTE AND RECYCLING
COLLECTION SERYICES; REPEALING RESOLUTION
NO. 2017-54; PROVIDING FOR IMPLEMENTATION; AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS' the Village of Key Biscayne ("Village") provides for solid waste collection
and recycling services (the "Services") for residential customers within the Village; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-6I of the Village Code of Ordinances, the Village
Council is authorized to impose fees for the Services (the "Fee"); and
WHEREAS, on December 12, 2017, the Village Council adopted Resolution No. 2017-
54 revising the Fee for the Services; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council desires to revise the Fee as provided herein; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council held a duly noticed public hearing on December 8,2020
prior to setting the revised Fee; and
WHEREAS' the Village Council finds that this Resolution is in the best interest and
welfare of the residents of the Village.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE TT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE, FLORIDAO AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Recitals. That each of the above-stated recitals are hereby adopted,
confirmed, and incorporated herein.
Section 2. Revised Service Fee. That an annual Fee in the amount of $805.00 per
household is hereby set as the regular service charge for the Services provided to residential
customers within the Village for the time period beginning October I,2020.

Section 3. Reneal. That Resolutionl0lT-S4,which established the prior Fee schedule,
is hereby repealed, except that the Fees provided by Resolution 2017-54 shall continue to apply to
all unpaid Fees for the Services that were provided pursuant to Resolution2DIT-S4.
Section 4. Implementation. That the Village Manager is hereby authorized to take
any action necessary to implement and enforce this Resolution.
Section 5. Effective Date. That this Resolution shall be effective immediately upon
adoption.
