AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF TRUCKEE AMENDING TITLE 1,
SECTIONS 1.03.030, 1.03.040, AND 1.03.070 OF THE TOWN MUNICIPAL CODE
DEALING WITH ADMINISTRATIVE REMEDIES/CITATIONS
The Town Council of the Town of Truckee does hereby ordain as follows:
Section 1. 1.03.030, 1.03.040, and 1.03.070 of the Town Code is hereby amended to read
as follows:
1.03.030 (b) (3) Service of Administrative Citation by Posting: The Enforcement
Officer may post an Administrative Citation on any real property within the Town in which
the Town has knowledge that the Responsible Person has a legal interest, or for parking
violations, place on any vehicle, and such posting shall be deemed effective service. The
Enforcement Officer shall first attempt Personal Service to the Responsible Party before
posting the Administrative Citation on real property. Posting an Administrative Citation
may also be used in the event Service by Mail has failed.
1.03.040 Administrative Citation Contents: To the extent practicable, each
Administrative Citation shall contain the following information:
1.03.070 (c) Hearing Request: The person requesting the hearing shall indicate if they
choose to appear in person for the hearing or have the written appeal be submitted for
review by the Hearing Officer.
Section 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be published in its entirety one time in the Town
newspaper of general circulation and shall take effect (30) thirty days after its second
reading and adoption.
The foregoing ordinance was introduced and the title thereof read at the regular meeting of
the Town Council the 6th day of January 2004, and further reading was waived.

On a motion by Councilmember Owens, seconded by Councilmember Florian, the
foregoing ordinance was duly passed and adopted by the Town Council of the Town of
Truckee at a regular meeting thereof held on this 22"~ day of January 2004 by the following
vote:
AYES: Council Members Owens, Florian, Vice Mayor Threshie and Mayor
Susman
NOES: None
ABSENT: Councilmember Ingalls
ABSTAIN: None
