A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE, FLORIDA,
AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE MANAGER TO
NEGOTIATE AND EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT \ryITH
SOUTHEASTERN ENGINEERING CONTRACTORS, INC.
FOR CULVERT AND ROADWAY REPAIRS ON CAPE
FLORIDA DRIVE; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
\ryHEREAS, the Village of Key Biscayne ("Village") solicited three bids from licensed
contractors for culvert and roadway repairs needed on Cape Florida Drive ("Project"); and
\ryHEREAS, Village staff reviewed the bids and recommends selecting Southeastern
Engineering Contractors, Inc. for the Project; and
WHEREAS, the Village wishes to enter into an agreement with the Contractor consistent
with the proposal, attached hereto as Exhibit "4" (the "Proposal"); and
WHEREAS, the Village Council desires to authorize the Village Manager to negotiate
and execute an agreement with the Contractor consistent with the Proposal; and
\ilHEREAS, the Village Council finds that this Resolution is in the best interest and
welfare of the residents of the Village.
NO\il' THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF KEY BTSCAYNE, FLORIDA, AS FOLLO\ilS:
Section 1. Recitals. That each of the above-stated recitals are hereby adopted,
confirmed, and incorporated herein.
Section 2. Authorization. That the Village Manager is hereby authorized to
negotiate and execute an agreement with the Contractor consistent with the Proposal, attached
hereto as Exhibit "4", subject to approval by the Village Attomey as to form, content, and legal
sufficiency.
Section 3. Effective Date. That this Resolution shall be effective immediately upon
adoption hereof.
