Doyle Bill Garbett Frank Schuman, Sr. Kathryn Williams Paul Wolff May 23, 2011 Mr. Patrick Fucci 301 Jones Ave. Tybee Island, GA 31328 Dear Mr. Fucci: of v CITY OF TYBEE ISLAND CITY MANAGER Diane Schleicher ACTING CLERK OF COUNCIL Jan LeViner CITY ATTORNEY Edward M. Hughes In late April of this year a STOP WORK order was posted at 301 Jones Avenue. On April 22, 2011, you met with Staff and a plan was formulated. An additional $13,000 value was added to swimming pool permit 10- 0535 to include additional fencing. At that time you were advised to either obtain a permit to remove a roof structure that had been added to the south side of the dwelling or apply by May 2, 2011, for a zoning variance. At your request the STOP WORK was temporarily removed by Staff while you had out -of -town guests. A variance was not applied for by May 2, 2011. The STOP WORK order was reported on May 3, 2011. The roof structure encroaches into a required 10 -foot side yard setback. As noted above, Staff has advised you to either apply for a permit to remove the structure or apply for approval of a zoning variance. The next deadline to apply for a zoning variance is June 1, 2011. Enclosed is a Building Permit Application, a Zoning Variance Application, and a calendar of meeting dates. Mr. Fucci, if you have not applied for a zoning variance by June 1, 2011, or obtained a building permit to remove the roof structure by June 1, 2011, a citation will be issued for work without a permit. Please contact me at (912) 786 -4573, extension 136, if you have any questions. Sincerely, ,c_mo Dianne K.
