June 20, 2019
Present : Co-chairs Andrea Nevins and Sharon Tennstedt, Frank Callahan, Bob Deloye, Steve Holmes,
Karen Thurber, Director Denise Rego, Honey Pivirotto ( FinCom Liaison ), Marilyn Dearborn ( FORE )
President, Laura Usher
Absent : Cindy Bingham (SB Liaison )
Meeting called to order at 1 :00pm .
Documents and exhibits : Agenda , Director' s report, Minutes of April 18, 2019 , revised future events at
COA, Action Plan Implementation — FY19/FY20 (with revision )
Minutes of April 18, 2019 approved : Yes : 10, No : 0
Director' s Report : Denise announced the following ,
- No meeting was held last month due to Lack of Quorum .
- Today is Karen ' s last meeting . She has been on the board for 6 years . We thank her for her dedication
and hard work during that time . She will be missed .
Marilyn Dearborn is the new President of the Friends of Brewster Eiders , We wish her much luck in this
role . She brings a wealth of knowledge of Town activities to the FORE ,
- Denise announced that she has stepped down from the Health and Human Services Committee after 9
years of service ,
- An Ice Cream Social will be held at the COA each Friday from 1 :00 to 3 : 00 pm beginning June 21s' to
August 30th . A good time to socialize for all .
- Marie ( Mimi ) Bernardo ( new Finance Director) will begin work on June 22nd ,
- July 29th to August 211, the front floor of the COA will be refinished . The side doors will be open for all
CdA business .
- Honey Pivirotto noted that the COA Board needs to be more vocal on the subject of a Community Center,
People who use our programs at our current venues should be aware of our efforts and should be heard ,
There are many competing issues : Nauset Regional High School, Library, etc . Ways to get the message
across could include : FORE Facebook, Recycling Center Info , Citizen Petition , Recreation Committee Input,
and Brainstorming Sessions ,

- Denise announced plans for a COA Lobster Roll event in August .
E: kEWSTER TON CLERK
Interviews are being held for the Full-Time Program Coordinator. We are also looking for a Part-Time Bus
Driver.
Action Programs are on track.
Denise to talk to the Town Administrator regarding taping our meetings at the Town Hall. Taping is ready
to go.
Liaison notes: Laura Usher has agreed to be the COA Liaison to the Housing Partnership Board. Steve
Holmes did not attend the last Recreation Meeting.
No Old/New Business.
Next Meeting July 18th.
