APPROVING CIIANGE ORDER #2
SI, SI ECT AREAS SEWER SEPAIL, kTION AND IMPROVEMENIS CONIRACT
WIIEREAS, on Jul> 19, 2001, the Governing Body of Ibc Borough of Carteret awarded
a contract to Star of the Sca Concrete Coin). m the amount of S399,950.00 lbr the Carteret
Suspcct Areas Sewer Separation and Improvements Contract: and
WHEREAS, based upon the recommendation of'thc Borough's Consulting Enginccr for
the project, T&M Associates, thc Borough has previously approved Change Order #1
which increased the above described contract tn the amount of $56,130.00. resulting in a
revised contract amount includdng said Change Order in tine total amount of S456.080.00:
and
WIIEREAS, the Borougb's Consulting Engineer has advised the Governing Body that a
further modification of thc contract, pursuant to the attached Change Order #2, is
reasonable and nccessau: and
WHEREAS. the net change in the contract amount provided Ibr pursuant to Change
Order #2 will result in a reduction in thc overall contract amoont of S94.37. inclusive of
Change Order # 1: and
VvHEREAS. thc Borough s Ch~et Fmancml Officer has certified that funds are available
for thc payment of'the contract amount inclusive of' Change Order # 1 and Change Order
#2.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Borongh Council of the
Borough of Carteret, CounD' of Middlesex, State of New Jersey as follows:
(1) Contract Change Order # 2 prox iding for a net reduction in the contract price
for tine Suspect Areas Sewer Separation and Improvements Contract. inclusive of
Change Order # 1, in the amount of S94.37, resulting in a revised contract pmce
of $455.985.63, is hereby approved.
(2) That the appropriate Borough officials are authorized and directed to execute
Change Order #2.
