LUK Minutes of the May 9, 2019 Meeting Members Present : Lisa Forhan, Steve Seaver, Diane Pansire, Ralph Marotti, Sarah Robinson, Ned Chatelain, Vanessa Greene Guests Present : Jill Scalise (Housing Coordinator) 1 . Call to Order: Meeting called to order at 6 : 01 . 2 . Minutes : The minutes were approved as submitted . 3 . "Big Fix" Huckleberry Lane : Diane discussed a potential volunteer opportunity at Huckleberry Lane where Partnership members could perform yard work and light maintenance for residents . The group discussed dates choosing September 28129 as their first choice and October 26127 as its second choice . The group also discussed potential names including "Little Fix", "Big Fix", "Local Fix", and "Neighbors Helping Neighbors" . 4 . Eastward Companies Proposed 40B Letter for Select Board : Vanessa presented a letter drafted in support of the proposed 40B project addressed to the Select Board. The Partnership reviewed and agreed it captured the points noted in the last meeting and no changes were suggested. 5 . Community Housing Forum & Housing Fair: Till Scalise discussed the upcoming Community Housing Forum & Housing Fair noting that a speaker was needed from the Partnership. Lisa volunteered to attend and provide a brief summary of the work of the Housing Partnership . Ned suggested reaching out to two other organizations in Dennis who may be interested in participating. 6 . Updates from Housing Coordinator: Jill Scalise shared information on a Lower Cape Housing Peer Group (June 13 3 - 5) and CDP Community Engagement training (June 18 5 -7) . Jill noted that a home on White Rock will be open to a lottery with applications due May 31 . She reported that Habitat homes were recently added to the Subsidized Housing Inventory. The Town is now at 6 . 25% . Requirements for certificate of compliance safe harbor were discussed. Ned inquired about the status of the pre-feasability study for Millstone parcel, which the Town hopes to receive shortly. The Housing Trust is hoping to bring in a Community Engagement consultant to assist in the process . Updates on surrounding town ' s ADU by-laws was discussed as well as ideas for community engagement. 7 . Items not reasonably anticipated by the Chair: The group noted that next month the annual discussion on reorganization should be on the agenda. Ralph inquired about the July 11 joint meeting with the Housing Trust in which the MCI program will be discussed. Lisa will coordinate with Ben DeRuyter, Chair of the Housing Trust, on additional agenda items . Meeting adjourned . Next meeting June 13 , 2014 6 : 28 PM. Respectfully submitted, Vanessa L . Greene
