APPROVAL TO SUBMIT A GRANT APPLICATION AND EXECUTE A
GRANT AGREEMENT _WITH THE NEW JERSEY DEPARTMENT OF
TRANSPORTATION FOR THE SAFE ROUTES TO SCHOOLS PROGRAM
FOR FISCAL YEAR 2012
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council of the Borough of
Carteret are desirous of obtaining $292,100.00 funding
from the New Jersey Department of Transportation Safe
Routes to Schools Program for Pedestrian and ADA
Friendly enhancements to the Carteret Middle School
area; and
WHEREAS, such a resolution should designate the
individual authorized to ensure the application is
properly completed and timely filed; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and
Council of the Borough of Carteret formally approves the
grant application for the above stated project and
designates Grant Coordinator, Ronald G. McPhee to ensure
that the application is properly filed; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and Grants
Coordinator of the Borough of Carteret are hereby
authorized to sign the grant agreement on behalf of the Borough of Carteret and that their signatures constitute
acceptance of the terms and conditions of the grant
agreement and approves,the execution of the agreement.
