This year's program will be held on Thursday, December 15, 2005 beginning at 10:00 a.m. in the Bateman Hall auditorium located at 11331 Ernestine Avenue in Lynwood. The Lynwood Women's Commission decided at their meeting held on Tuesday, October 11, 2005 that they will request that each Commission, Board and Lynwood organization solicit a$1.00 donation per member at their respective monthly meetings in order to also purchase gifts for the mothers. The Lynwood Women's Commission respectfully requests that each Commission, Block Watch Captain and/or organization add this item to their next meeting's agenda and discuss this proposal. If your group decides to participate in this project we request that all money collected be submitted to Phyllis Cooper-Lyons, staff liaison, at the Recreation & Community Services Department, Senior Division on or before Monday, November21, 2005. If you have questions about the "Gifts of Love" program please contact Ms. Cooper-Lyons at (310) 886-0425. Thank you for your anticipated participation in this very worthy cause.
