VIII. SCHEDULED MATTERS: IDEAS FOR VETERANS MEMORIAL
MONUMENT WALLS - Mr. Rodriguez stated that the Veterans Council must
do something totally different than what is being done in order to obtain funds for
the Veterans Memorial Monument. Turn-around trips to Las Vegas are a
possibility as is "Meet a Veteran" day. Another possibility is to scale-down the
design altogether and do something very minimal. The cities of Santa Fe Springs
and South Gate have very simple designs for their Veterans Memorial
Monuments.
