Housing Manager 11-21-05 12-22-05 I VII I COMMISSIONER ORALS , i VIII ADJOURNMENT , Regular Meeting — December 15, 2005 I Motion Second Vote Time: , ; CITY OF LYNWOOD SPECIAL MEETING OF THE PERSONNEL BOARD OCTOBER 27, 2005 The special meeting of the Personnel Board of the City of Lynwood, California was held on Thursday, October 27, 2005 at 5:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 11330 Bullis Road, Lynwood, California. The agenda was duly posted as prescribed by the Brown Act. CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order at 5:08 p.m. by Chairperson Battle. Roll call was taken by Ms. Autra C. Adams, Interim Director of Human Resources/Assistant to the CM. All commissioners were present. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE � Led by Commissioner Villanueva. APPROVAL OF MINUTES The motion was made by Vice-Chairperson Quinonez and seconded by Chairperson Battle to approve the minutes of September 15, 2005. All in favor. Motion carried. ; PUBLIC ORALS - None I STUDIES AND REPORTS The motion was made by Vice-Chairperson Quinonez and seconded by Commissioner I Robinson to approve the eligibility list for the position of Building and Safety Manager. All in favor. Motion carried. The motion was made by Commissioner Villanueva and seconded by Commissioner , Robinson to approve the eligibility list for the position of Parking Control Officer. All in , favor. Motion carried. Vice-Chairperson Quinonez and Commissioner Robinson shared their experience of the Labor Relations Training in San Francisco that they attended. Ms. Adams informed the board of the upcoming Labor Relations Training conference which will be held on Friday, January 20, 2006 in the City of Los Angeles and stated that is the same training that some of the Commissioners attended in San Francisco. Commissioner Bradley, Chairperson Battle and Commissioner Robinson expressed an interest to attend the Labor Relations Training Workshop. COMMISSIONER ORALS Chairperson Battle thanked the City for the thank you gift that she received because she was part of the oral board panel for the Assistant City Manager-Finance position. Vice-Chairperson stated that she was part of the interview panel for the position of the Human Resources Director. She indicated that it was a wonderful experience and interesting how at the end of the day all of the panelist agreed with the results. She also recommended to the board members to attend the upcoming workshop because it was very interesting and an excellent source of information. ' Ms. Adams requested that the next regular meeting scheduled for November 17, 2005 � be rescheduled to Tuesday, November 22, 2005 at S:OOpm. All in favor. Motion 1 carried. ' ADJOURNMENT Commissioner Robinson made the motion to adjourn and Vice-Chairperson Quinonez j seconded. All in favor. Motion carried.
