HomeMy Public PortalAboutOrd. 312 - Water Service DepositsCITY OF McCALL, IDAHO ORDINANCE NO. 312 AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO DEPOSITS FOR WATER SER- VICE TO TENANT OCCUPIED PREMISES; AMENDING SEC- TION 8-1-18 OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF McCALL, IDAHO, INCREASING TENANT DEPOSITS FOR WATER SERVICE FROM FIVE DOLLARS TO TWENTY DOLLARS. BE IT -ORDAINED -BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF McCALL, IDAHO, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That Section 8-1-18 of the.Village Code of McCa114ivIdaho, be, and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: 8-1-18: PROPERTY OWNER CHARGEABLE: When water has been turned on at any premises, in conformity with the provisions of this Chapter, the same shall con- tinue to be charged against the said premises until the Water Department is ordered in writing by the owner, or his authorized agent, to discontinue the same. All accounts for water shall be kept in the name of the owner of the premises for whom the ser- vice was installed, until some later owner shall notify the Water Rate Collector of change in owner- ship. No water shall be billed to any tenant, un- less the lease of the latter is recorded, and the owner of the premises requests in writing that the water be charged to the tenant, and the said tenant deposits with the Water Rate Collector the sum of twenty ($20.00) dollars to protect the Village against any and all delinquent and unpaid charges for water, or other charges and penalities, on account of such services.
